We are hoping to find Graham (Graeme) Richard Hughes who was born at Queen Victoria Hospital in Melbourne, on 13 September 1947. We are related through your mother, Sylvia.
Sylvia had two siblings: John Lyle (b. 1917, Birchip) and Beryl Catherine (b. 1919, Carlton) Hall. They both grew up in foster homes around Bendigo. Their mother was Gertrude Elizabeth Hall and their father was John (Jack) Bell. Jack fell ill and passed away in Birregurra just before Sylvia was born, and poor Gerty could not afford to look after them properly.
Sylvia married your father, Richard John Hughes, in September 1942. They lived in Farm Street, Newport (Melbourne) with Sylvia's adopted family, Mrs Maud and Mr Alfred Tanner.
