If you sat the final Scholarship Examination in 1962 at Toowoomba East State School, or you were part of our classes between 1955 and 1962, you may be interested in attending our second reunion, planned for 27-29 October 2024.
On Sunday 27 October, we will be taking part in the School Fete, with our own stall and activities for the kids. On Monday, 28th, we'll be enjoying our traditional formal lunch at Picnic Point. In the evening, those who want to carry on will be adjourning to one of the local hotels for dinner. On Tuesday 29th, there is a walk (or drive for those who'd prefer) around East Toowoomba planned, visiting our old homes and other places of interest: Webb Park, the site of the old Barrymount home, the old showgrounds, Miss Clarks kindy, etc.
In October 2022, and again in 2023, around thirty old pupils got together with partners, and we had a wonderful day. It was lovely to watch people slip back into old friendships, many of whom hadn't see each other for 60 years.
