Albert is my husband`s grandfather who was killed in action in France during WW1 in 1917. He left behind a wife and son, the son being my husband`s father. At some stage my father-in-law`s surname was changed from Latter to Scrivener, but we don`t know why. Are there any people named Scrivener who have relatives named Latter? I await a reply.
